MITS Campus Life
Divulging the future workforce to the real field work, industrial environment, state-of the-art science and technology adapted in machineries and equipment operations and industrial practices provide ways to relate classroom theories with actual industrial experiences at the cognitive level of the students.
To impart exposure to faculty members with the recent advances in teaching methodology and current industrial technology faculty development program is organized annually. This regular upgradation helps the faculty members in facing their professional challenges and makes them not only better professionals but also better human beings.
Smart class is a digital initiative of MIT, which is rapidly transforming the way students learn in the college with innovative and meaningful use of technology. Tailor made digital content of RTU curriculum enables students to learn difficult and abstract concepts by watching highly engaging visuals and animations. Smart class brings in technology right next to the blackboard for teachers in the classrooms. This makes learning an enjoyable experience for students while improving their overall academic performance in college.
In order to meet the challenges of rapidly changing and advancing education system and patterns, MITS frequently organizes seminars, workshops & Invited Talks that provide a platform to faculty members and students to update their knowledge& information, exchanging ideas and practices.
Library has one of the most extensive and valuable collection of books and journals along with reference books that caters the need of faculty, staff and students. It is facilitated with newspapers, journals, magazines, and periodicals and many other documented material. It is well stocked with more than 20,000 volumes covering about 3,500 titles of books. The library subscribes to international and national journals. The Digital library has made far easy access and provides state-of-the-art facilities and resources. The Library runs on LIBSYS Software and the various facilities available include DELNET, LAN, WAN, REPROGRAFIC, INTERNET Connectivity, Book Bank, Photo Stat etc.
MITS provides excellent, well furnished and comfortable hostel accommodation separately for boys and girls with single seated rooms. Each room is spacious, well ventilated and furnished with modern amenities. Water and power supply are available round the clock. Delicious, nutritious and well balanced food is served in large dinning hall of the Hostel Mess. A homely environment provided with the facilities of, common rooms, reading rooms, T.V. rooms, and indoor/outdoor games. Hostel wardens for each hostel take care of maintenance of discipline, academic interest etc. in the hostel. Thus hostels at MITS are in fact, home away from home for our students. MITS arranges hostel accommodation at really affordable rates as mention below.
A highly spacious and hygienic cafeteria is located at our campus where complete and wholesome food and snacks are served at subsidized rates. Monthly mess facility is also being provided to the students as well as the staff members
To have blend of education with spiritualism, MITS has a Meditation Temple in the campus with the most appropriate and natural surroundings. We are collectively committed and devoted to ensuring lively, thoughtful and supportive contexts for students, faculty and staff who wish to pursue spiritual interests with academics.
MITS provides most efficient transportation facility at affordable price. The society has its shuttles with all safety features to deliver safe transportation. The society provides transport services regularly between campus and the city.
